Product Description
Let the sun do the chemistry. Simply place any object on a sheet, expose it to the sun for a few minutes, immerse the sheet in water and watch as a permanent image appears.
A great example of a photochemical reaction where two substances react in the presence of UV light to produce a new compound (Prussian blue). Where light doesn’t fall, no blue compound forms and a white ‘image’ appears.
Included: Twelve sheets of 10 x 10 cm UV sensitive paper
Required: Small objects, a UV source (indoor black light) or the sun and water
Teach: chemical reactions, photochemical reactions, energy conversion
