Great fun with diffraction gratings for the little ones. Each colourful cardboard disk holds a special diffraction grating film ("rainbow lens") that separates light into its constituent rainbow colours. Students simply hold it up at any light source and a rainbow spectrum will magically appear. A great teacher incentive.
