Product Description
A great in-house teacher-developed kit by Prof Bunsen Science. Students will
- pump air into a bottle and find that the bottle gains mass;
- see the temperature change when air is added or released and discover the real meaning of temperature;
- discover the principles behind refrigeration and air conditioning;
- make a cloud machine by preparing visible fog inside the bottle.
These investigations are ideal for middle school students.
Included: Car tyre valves (5), special bottle cap (5), thermometer strips (5), Prof Bunsen’s notes & classroom activity sheets
Required: Car/bicycle tyre pump, plastic soft drink bottles (1.5 l or 2 l), electronic balance (±0.1 g)
Teach: kinetic gas model, gas laws: pV=nRT, gas temperature / pressure relationship, cloud formation, air has got mass, adiabatic expansion, refrigeration, scientific inquiry
