Cotton Reel Tractor (Pack of 10)

Product Description

In ages past when cotton thread came on wooden reels, these home-made toys amused everyone. Now your students can put their own tractors together using the cardboard parts and glue.  The tractor is also known as a 'Rubber Band Racer'.

Mechanical energy can be stored in the stretch of a rubber band and students can investigate the amount of energy transferred to the rubber band vs. the distance traveled. See Simple Machines file below.
An inexpensive classroom activity (± 1 hour).

Included: Pack of components for 10 tractors.  In the photo below you'll see the parts required for one tractor. One set of instructions per pack.
