Colour Changing Putty

Product Description

You can stretch it, shape it and bounce it! This putty can tear like paper and shatter like a ceramic when cooled. But most important, it has colour changing abilities too!

It contains heat sensitive colour pigments that will change from warm orange to yellow from the heat of your hand, sunlight or heat generated when stretching it.

Idea: Heat it with a hair dryer and write on it with ice!

More information: This putty is a Non-Newtonian substance, which means that it doesn't follow the theory of viscosity that Newton observed. Viscosity is the "thickness" of a liquid, or its resistance to flow. (Honey, for example, has a much higher viscosity than water.) Unlike most liquids, however, this putty changes its behaviour based on the amount of force applied. If you pull it gently, it will stretch; if you pull it forcefully, it will tear. When you cool it down and apply the ultimate force with a hammer, it acts exactly like a solid and shatters as though it were ceramic.
